Gordon Twance Sr. (Homiskinissgee) is an Ojibwe Born Kwakwaka'wakw artist. He was adopted by Rachel Whonnock and Chief Henry Bell when he married his wife, Christine Wadham Twance. He was given the name Homiskinessgee, along with the rights to use the family crests in his artwork. In the mid-1990s, Gordon lived and worked at Port Hardy, where he created and sold silver jewelry and cedar carvings. Over his career, Gordon has worked with Chief Roy Speck, Lloyd Wadhams Sr, Chief Cecil Wadhams, Leonard Joseph, Gordon Twance Jr, Charles Joseph, and Wife Christine Twance. Gordon is currently a full-time artist working in Fort Rupert, Port Hardy, BC.
