Francis is a self-taught artist, and he specializes in house poles, masks, and limited edition prints. His poles can be seen in Victoria, BC, Duncan, BC, and as far as Italy. In 1988, Francis was invited to Singapore to demonstrate totem pole carving. He was commissioned by Leona Lattimer to create two 24-foot poles for the Leona Lattimer Gallery in 1987 and 1988. His poles are well-known, and collected around the world.
