Alisa Nielsen is a registered Interior Designer, and currently works and resides in Summerland, BC. She integrates copper, which traditionally symbolizes wealth and prosperity, into her kiln-cast glass pieces. She also references the use of abalone in traditional pieces by using Raku glazes on her ceramics. Alisa is inspired by forms from nature in her artwork, and places an emphasis on the use of natural materials while representing traditional 'Ksan imagery.
