Patterns of crescent shapes in Salish jewellery are sometimes referred to as Goat Horn designs. Actual goat horns have been used to make Salish bracelets through history, with these patterns carved on them. Here, Jody Sparrow uses undulating, repeating crescents to evoke "shrimp".
