"This box design was inspired by the Circle of Life, which is an ancient Native American (First Nations) symbol. Depicted are the four races of mankind: Black, White, Yellow and Red peoples. These colors further symbolize the four stages of life: infancy, childhood, adulthood and old age. Four is a sacred number in Native American culture across North America; and it signifies completeness and harmony. Also, in nature there are four seasons and four directions – which are represented by the four colors. Northwest Coast Native art is deeply symbolic, and even a little box can express large ideas".
