This hand-engraved brooch was created in 1955 while Bill Reid was an announcer at CBC. The individual who commissioned the piece worked in CBC’s Music Department at that time. She commissioned the brooch from Bill for her aunt (and maid of honour) in celebration of her wedding that year. The piece remained in the same family until 2024.
