Ward Prince is a Cree artist who was born in Vancouver, but raised in Port Hardy, BC. He states that the natural beauty of Vancouver Island, combined with the Kwakwaka’wakw art and culture that he grew up with, have deeply influenced his outlook and creativity. In 2009, Ward graduated from Vancouver's Northwest Coast Jewellery Arts program under established Haida/Kwakwaka'wakw artist, Dan Wallace. Ward plans to create jewellery that fuses Cree and Northwest Coast aesthetics.
