Victor Adams was from Masset on Haida Gwaii, and married celebrated Haida weaver Primrose Adams. He created a great deal of jewellery, but he was also a wood-carver and canoe-maker. One of his canoes was featured in the 2005 book The Canoe: A Living Tradition.
