Ning was born in Cape Dorset on October 11, 1980. Cape Dorset is located on Baffin Island in Canada's high arctic region and is home to many famous Inuit artists. Ning's carvings are made of the finest serpentine of various green shades which are then smoothed and polished carefully to best exhibit the lustre of the stone.
