2010 Charity Boxes
For the past three years Lattimer Gallery has organized an event to help support the Aboriginal Health Program, which supports women, children and families at BC Women’s Hospital and Health Centre. The goal of this program is to improve the quality of hospital experiences for Aboriginal patients and their families.
All of the work in the creation of these small cedar boxes was donated: the boxes were steam-bent and constructed by Métis/Cree artist James Michels; the promotion and collected funds were be donated by Lattimer Gallery; and all the artwork was donated by the artists. 100% of the proceeds were donated to the Aboriginal Health Program at BC Women’s Hospital and Health Centre.
We are proud to have raised $11,550.00 during the 2010 Charity Bentwood Box Event!
