John's work includes jewellery in gold and silver. He received formal training in design and technique at Vancouver Community College, from 1991 to 1993. He also trained with Phil Janze and Don Yeomans. Prior to working as a fine art jeweller on a full-time basis, John was a welder and fabricator. His acquired knowledge of metallurgy has effectively been applied to his work with precious metals. John's jewellery is characterized by bold lines, deep carving and flawless craftsmanship. He is also well known for his use of repousse carving. His family crest is that of Frog.
